The initial process for submitting a claim was relatively easy and helpful. Once the claim was approved, I found the scheduling and communication to be frustrating. While some delays are to be expected with current logistic/employment issues, I found myself in November waiting to get a new roof with an initial work date in the first week of June. Getting any kind of status update became burdensome due to lack of call backs/progress moving forward. I pretty much had to get someone from production on the phone when I called to receive any kind of information. The install was relatively event free except for the fact that one of the work trucks (a dually with a dumpster) leaked oil onto my driveway. Oil is incredibly difficult to remove and we had just had the driveway cleaned. We tried to wait till the roof was completed but found ourselves in October with a dirty house/driveway and still no roof. Now I'm in November with a house that's not as clean and an oil stained driveway.

Customers called us with a gutter issue from where a tree limb had damaged their gutters. I inspected their full property and also found hail damage to their gutters, downspouts, window screens and roof. Based on my hail damage inspection, I recommended that we go the insurance claim route and assisted them in filing an insurance claim. I met with their insurance adjuster onsite and he agreed to full replacement, full replacement of the gutters and downspouts, window screens and even fascias metal as well. We installed a CertainTeed Landmark Charcoal Black, limited-lifetime warrantied architectural shingle on the roof as well as brand new black gutters and downspouts. Customer loves the new updated look of the black roof, black drip edge and black gutters. We thoroughly enjoyed working with this customer throughout the entire process!

We received a notification from our storm monitoring service for this customer in the Ascot subdivision in Easley, SC. Mr McDaniel called us when he found a small leak in his bathroom. We came out and performed our free full roof inspection. During my inspection I was able to track the cause of the leak to a dry rotted pipe boot. I checked the other pipe boot and found that although it was not leaking yet it was dry rotted as well. We sent him an estimate that afternoon to replace both old pipe boots as well as seal some exposed nail heads. Mr McDaniel accepted our estimate and the work will be completed by the end of the week. Today we installed landmark charcoal black shingles. We upgraded this customer from old 3 tab shingles. We replaced some rotten decking around his pipe vents and applied ice and water around the pipe vents for added protection down the road. The homeowners son called into KEE Roofing from Easley, SC wanting a free, no obligation roof inspection conducted on his elderly parents home. I came out and preformed a full storm damage inspection around the property to include the roof. I found sudden and accidental damage on all elevations of the home and more then enough damage atop the roof caused by recent hail storms to warrant a claim. Marco called us from a lovely subdivision on Lake Saluda. He had a prior insurance claim for hail damage where the insurance adjuster came out by himself and only approved for a partial slope on his roof. I conducted my full property inspection and found hail damage to the soft metals, the copper roof, and on all additional front, left, right, and rear slopes of the roof. In my opinion there is more than enough to warrant full replacement, according to standard insurance industry guidelines. Based on my additional findings, I recommended to Marco that he request a re-inspection. I then met the independent adjuster back onsite and we documented all of the additional hail damage that we found on the property together. We will hear back from corporate on the final decision next week and will go from there...

This customer in Easley, SC was about to sell their home but noticed a leak coming from the ceiling. I preformed our free roof inspection and found a split pipe boot that was causing their leak. I also found a second leak while I was in the attic from a protruding nail that wasn't sealed. We came out to do the repair with some synthetic underlayment, a new pipe boot, NP1 caulking, and new burnt sienna shingles. This mid-production photo was taken after installing ridge vent. Ridge vent is an air exhaust vent that is installed at the peak of the roof. For the attic ventilation system to work correctly, air needs to be able to enter the attic as well as evacuate to provide a continuous flow of outside air through the space.
